A new blog has been created!Good Afternoon Everyone! Several people have asked if I have a blog dedicated to my sweet treats, and I thought yeah, I really need to do that. When I started this blog, it was pretty much dedicated to my love of stamping and papercrafts. Although I still love doing paper projects, much of my time lately has been creating recipes and treats for my other love, Pixie Cakes. So, please join me over at my new blog: <a href="http://www.nicolespixiecakes.blogspot.com/">www.nicolespixiecakes.blogspot.com</a>. I will still post things on this blog too, but I will try to post all of my sweet creations on my pixie cakes blog. Please take a look. I have a couple of posts so far, but I plan to add many more as more treats are whipped up! Thanks so much for inspiring me to start another blog devoted to Pixie Cakes. I will be adding an order form soon that you can print or email to me.. Thanks so much! Have a great day.. see you over there..!<br /><br /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-47804660504070091892011-05-17T09:00:00.000-07:002011-05-17T10:01:51.410-07:00Oreo Truffle Pops~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinRYv1-8qWwyHEvM8RAAIXacHJoTRNg0A2FyuQH4kF8jP-mNh3DaCpdibVvE4h-P4cNz9nkbiEBvuhPYkPuneGIL_HHiJ8A5KCsxhYV32kJarK9Cfq12f5HsnoA1gxTaIxHR42XfwSIaTJ/s1600/Oreo+Truffles.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 239px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607716223101664546" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinRYv1-8qWwyHEvM8RAAIXacHJoTRNg0A2FyuQH4kF8jP-mNh3DaCpdibVvE4h-P4cNz9nkbiEBvuhPYkPuneGIL_HHiJ8A5KCsxhYV32kJarK9Cfq12f5HsnoA1gxTaIxHR42XfwSIaTJ/s400/Oreo+Truffles.jpg" /></a>~Hi there! Long time, no post! Here is my latest version of oreo truffles.. truffles on a stick, why not! I LOVE these delicious little treats... I am so glad I took the picture, because they are now all gone in a matter of about fifteen minutes!! I have made these before and posted them in an earlier post, but adding the stick and turning them upside down I think really works.. It makes them much easier to display and transport than the traditional upright cake pops.. but either way, they are tasty! Have a great day..!<br /><br /><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-16766478394550017962011-02-12T12:34:00.000-08:002011-02-12T12:42:52.095-08:00~Valentine Coasters<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgfIZiHYM9c2g8J0zt-zrBsexII-noDDjOqowGaxW_YLGb7EhT8f_XyuspxC153GwKFkV9gkENVfV_wmdElLFNvv7MJxBnj9tVsZUAVbXYg0Gz_UeiKHdFSit_dBSAfzkK_cAS0Oi8cEjV/s1600/57+Chevy+and+Valentine%2527s+Day+Coasters+and+Cupcake+for+lori+021.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572905613843578258" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgfIZiHYM9c2g8J0zt-zrBsexII-noDDjOqowGaxW_YLGb7EhT8f_XyuspxC153GwKFkV9gkENVfV_wmdElLFNvv7MJxBnj9tVsZUAVbXYg0Gz_UeiKHdFSit_dBSAfzkK_cAS0Oi8cEjV/s400/57+Chevy+and+Valentine%2527s+Day+Coasters+and+Cupcake+for+lori+021.jpg" /></a>~Hi again! I wanted to post a picture of my latest set of coasters made for my home.. I needed some valentine's coasters and thought, heck, I will make my own! We had a workshop in December where we created handstamped coasters and we had so much fun.. it even continued it on to the next week and we all ran out and bought more tiles, so we could make more since we became so addicted to these things. They made great gifts for the holidays! Well, I had some spare tiles and I had just gotten this new Stampin' Up valentine stamp and I thought it would be perfect for my coasters. So, what do you think?? They came out pretty well. I also used the Stampin' Up french script background stamp in a soft gray. I added some cork to the backs of each tile after I completed the process. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day and a good weekend too.. Thanks for coming back!!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-19213044725231131692011-02-12T12:22:00.000-08:002011-02-12T12:34:19.786-08:00Miles' Birthday Cupcake and Cake Pops~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgickUQ-7m3jjaxVNies12f-1_cfVOMbzZ7GbbchYutLuKmZy-3Iuol5A9S9PFTWObs8xUK7l4PI4ld4UN7ezUINSSyeT82bBeiTOHL715iJldzPtXnHqkeB6O_SIi5l8v4kiwz5eIl7lhI/s1600/57+Chevy+and+Valentine%2527s+Day+Coasters+and+Cupcake+for+lori+018.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5572904016422384274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgickUQ-7m3jjaxVNies12f-1_cfVOMbzZ7GbbchYutLuKmZy-3Iuol5A9S9PFTWObs8xUK7l4PI4ld4UN7ezUINSSyeT82bBeiTOHL715iJldzPtXnHqkeB6O_SIi5l8v4kiwz5eIl7lhI/s400/57+Chevy+and+Valentine%2527s+Day+Coasters+and+Cupcake+for+lori+018.jpg" /></a>~Happy Saturday! It's almost Valentine's Day and one of my most favorite holidays! How can you not love LOVE! Plus, if you know me, you know I LOVE pink and it is everywhere right now! Well, we just got through with another craft night. This time it was a cupcake party! We decorated lots and lots of cupcakes, made valentine's soap. We had so much fun.. lots of sprinkles and frosting on the kid's (and adults) faces!! When I got home I got started making these treats for my friend's nephew for his birthday party today. They are simple, but bright and cute! He loves my cake pops and asked his aunt for his own pops on his birthday, so here they are.. he needed a cake too, so what else, a matching giant cupcake! I also gave her some cute spiral birthday candles to add to the top, so it should be really cute.. Sorry for no posts lately.. I have one more today too! Happy Birthday Miles!!<br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-12791657734852757742010-10-10T19:50:00.000-07:002010-10-10T20:00:15.727-07:00Truffles and More Cake on a Stick~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBPPaz8Qwr_J94-tIrIhVhVIcl-r2Re1o2BkhwT4x_28zsjyHSDb_Rl19IxE_hF1xOrz_rCH0g5D5D7BzwnDuL9JEctOWK_rdkPYyMq2ijQzeiEw54UKTNoVKE5rTQTotK1VcByPjL92kW/s1600/cake+pops+and+truffles+025.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5526617212864113250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBPPaz8Qwr_J94-tIrIhVhVIcl-r2Re1o2BkhwT4x_28zsjyHSDb_Rl19IxE_hF1xOrz_rCH0g5D5D7BzwnDuL9JEctOWK_rdkPYyMq2ijQzeiEw54UKTNoVKE5rTQTotK1VcByPjL92kW/s400/cake+pops+and+truffles+025.jpg" /></a>~Good Evening and happy Sunday to you!.. This is a quick post, but I just realized I never posted this. I just made 100 of the cakes on a stick for a co-worker's bridal reception this weekend and I was looking back at my pictures for the color scheme and came across this one.. I made truffles and these same cakes on a stick for her bridal shower and she wanted more just like them for her reception. I love making these. I can't wait to make some Halloween themed ones for our Halloween party. I did discover one thing when making these. I have read on the internet that you can use any type of melting chocolate for these, but with trial and error, buying the best chocolate you can REALLY makes a difference. I had a mess when I ran out of my good stuff and tried a package of the white chocolate bark, it didn't work quite the same at all. It wasn't smooth, and didn't dry quickly and I was so disappointed, so lesson learned, you get what you pay for when it comes to chocolate. You can find really good melting chocolate at a cake specialty or candy making supply store. For the truffles, I used the same chocolate for these. These are peanut butter and chocolate truffles and oreo truffles with oreo crumbs on top in white chocolate. Those were my FAVORITE! I need to make these again for the holidays for sure!! Okay, better get going.. have a great night..thanks for taking a peek!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-88883958100127294012010-09-15T20:46:00.000-07:002010-09-15T20:59:18.098-07:00Cake on a Stick??<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7ZZ3k_MZhfGyP2e2nfAd1hd4EJwg_X3ZNoZeBLsV7wTcqK4b6Nxw42yHsSBoA1snsjFxpT1SzJq6nRDbPweEfiGkWFsGzbTYZU5mpj7MCKecTOAwGnicKfEY_KHP0m3A-C0QtQCzegjV0/s1600/cake+pops+and+truffles+009.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5517355420859322146" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7ZZ3k_MZhfGyP2e2nfAd1hd4EJwg_X3ZNoZeBLsV7wTcqK4b6Nxw42yHsSBoA1snsjFxpT1SzJq6nRDbPweEfiGkWFsGzbTYZU5mpj7MCKecTOAwGnicKfEY_KHP0m3A-C0QtQCzegjV0/s400/cake+pops+and+truffles+009.jpg" /></a>~Hello there! I have wanted to try these for at least six months and I finally decided to get all of the ingredients and make a bunch of these cuter than cute cakes on a stick.. They really are! It is cake and frosting all mixed up, stuck on a stick, dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with sprinkles of your choice! That is really how easy they are to make! I can't believe I waited this long to try them. I have seen them all over my favorite baking websites and stumbled upon them looking for recipes for truffles, which I also can't wait to post pictures of, yummy!! Anyway, for these, I used chocolate cake, white and milk chocolate (good quality really makes a difference) and candy coloring for the white chocolate to dye it that soft pink color. I couldn't believe I had sprinkles that matched exactly, yay!! I made some for our co-worker's bridal shower luncheon and now she wants more for her wedding reception next month! I can't wait to make them in her beautiful wedding colors, aqua and lime green, ooooh, pretty! I can't wait to make some halloween themed pops! They wrap up really nicely and keep for several days. My mom said the only thing wrong with them is they weren't big enough, LOL! She said I should stack at least three or four on one stick.. hahahahaha.. Hmmmm, maybe she's on to something! Well, enjoy your day! Thank you for taking a peek!! (Don't forget to click on the picture to make it larger if you need to see them better)<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-84007547688227875782010-08-29T15:03:00.001-07:002010-08-29T15:18:00.489-07:00Ladybug Birthday~~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC6QSDRBg8kQNmwAwieWnoilQu9DrLbRvFAdkQ5YOuky2FYfwwtRaHrkvPkREKilsFZffNhULex-FfQKv8bQnvCynOPwdME4JJGFix484aAcIdRxTNXmaFjlgFoVUPzAINF88OzSV76NeN/s1600/Shop+with+a+cop+and+lori+and+angie+bday+cakes+025.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5510957720681565650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC6QSDRBg8kQNmwAwieWnoilQu9DrLbRvFAdkQ5YOuky2FYfwwtRaHrkvPkREKilsFZffNhULex-FfQKv8bQnvCynOPwdME4JJGFix484aAcIdRxTNXmaFjlgFoVUPzAINF88OzSV76NeN/s400/Shop+with+a+cop+and+lori+and+angie+bday+cakes+025.jpg" /></a>Hello again!!.. here is my second set of birthday cupcakes for this weekend.. I was baking like a madwoman getting all of these baked and delivered and it was so much fun doing these different themes for the girls' birthdays! These cupcakes were for my friend at work who was having a sunflower/ladybug birthday party for her daughter's fifth birthday. She already had a ladybug cake, but wanted the cupcakes for all of the little kids who attended. There is another tray full of these in chocolate too! I love my new polka dot cupcake trays. I scored two of these and was so happy.. they worked so great with these little cupcakes!!We had a great time putting everything together and making treat bags and favors for them to all take home. Happy 5th birthday Akina! Hope you had a great day.. thanks for letting me bake for you guys!!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-65637597855199352942010-08-29T14:32:00.000-07:002010-08-29T15:14:01.676-07:00Happy Powerpuff Birthday!!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUS1tj3pZ18RmFLycLMhNbhLm6Zl1cBQfOmu1UrfWQPVtIvVNtWlN-rVBJwI4GU1RxWD1TKOY-XpZsn0aJCU9gMQk0bT-af0ZnYpvYjzMZY-0dhMRMISb6FQp92y2x1aYavSlyLTBPmM8L/s1600/Shop+with+a+cop+and+lori+and+angie+bday+cakes+017.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5510949507392152802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUS1tj3pZ18RmFLycLMhNbhLm6Zl1cBQfOmu1UrfWQPVtIvVNtWlN-rVBJwI4GU1RxWD1TKOY-XpZsn0aJCU9gMQk0bT-af0ZnYpvYjzMZY-0dhMRMISb6FQp92y2x1aYavSlyLTBPmM8L/s400/Shop+with+a+cop+and+lori+and+angie+bday+cakes+017.jpg" /></a>~Good Sunday afternoon! I was so honored to be asked to make this cake and cupcakes for my friend's niece's birthday.. Happy Birthday to Nina on her 7th birthday! She loves powerpuff girls and wanted her cake with those three little ladies on it.. wow, first of all, I didn't even know powerpuff girls were still around, so trying to find anything with that theme was a task, but I found the topper and the picks, so I knew I could do the rest! It is super girly and bright and I really hope her birthday sleepover was a huge success and they enjoyed their cakes!! I have one more birthday post for this weekend.. Thanks so much for looking!<br /><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-64062102897359021482010-08-11T20:28:00.000-07:002010-08-11T20:44:44.220-07:00Football Cupcake Cake~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwYR1rSj3V1rNOQ1aFqlMG92qUT9QGL6fjT_NX03KDOoP1TiY9bjoq50tx7kB94cOJXfxB601v1vv6Re4n5T0pX0JpEM2U4-mj5lfS9VsOdbwEi6FkPki1nMViqgiHb7Z8ZvGCbP4mT98O/s1600/Football+Cupcake+Cake+002.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5504362506476491234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwYR1rSj3V1rNOQ1aFqlMG92qUT9QGL6fjT_NX03KDOoP1TiY9bjoq50tx7kB94cOJXfxB601v1vv6Re4n5T0pX0JpEM2U4-mj5lfS9VsOdbwEi6FkPki1nMViqgiHb7Z8ZvGCbP4mT98O/s400/Football+Cupcake+Cake+002.jpg" /></a>~Hi there.. I wanted to share my latest treat with you! My friend at work is celebrating her son's 40th birthday today and wanted to take him a special treat. He loves the Dallas Cowboys, so I came up with this.. I wish I would have had time to find some real NFL cake stuff, but oh well! She really liked it and couldn't wait for her son to see it. I hope he shares.. :) I had never used my giant cupcake pan before, so I was so glad it came out. You may not be able to tell from the pic, but the cake actually stands over ten inches high and is sitting on a dinner plate. It is pretty big. I cut out some fondant stars and added floral wire to the three on top and added pearl dust to make them all pearly and glittery. I am going to use this pan a lot more now. I just wanted to share a quick post and share some cupcakes I made for a friend and his wife today. He gave me my first REAL cupcake order and was really excited to do these. They are lemon cake with marionberry filling, lemon cream cheese icing and then I sugared some cute little pansies I got from the nursery. I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! I will be posting more pics of some cakes and cupcakes I have worked on.. Thanks so much for looking.. I also have two boxes of new Stampin' Up supplies I still need to sort and get some stamping done to post too... yikes, too much to do.. work gets in the way of so many projects here at home that I really want to start! I miss my stamps so much and I keep passing by my craft room and hope to get in there someday soon and craft away! LOL.. take care and have a good night!! <div></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-52463120403365294862010-06-27T13:58:00.000-07:002010-06-29T21:37:57.252-07:00Introducing Whoopie~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJn7I6dGvO0UFc0BCNHtKzPxVYj9EK66GlGnJMhyyRObVzuW3ByJYX15xljdVJNqd60AfGT0rQihWj-CMDtYvVwrKtX-64c4cAXrlzUtdNg0yTRUE3X_8XdA-yWn6dX_gxseeJO_QMS25f/s1600/Whoopie+Pies+015.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487563040073975954" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJn7I6dGvO0UFc0BCNHtKzPxVYj9EK66GlGnJMhyyRObVzuW3ByJYX15xljdVJNqd60AfGT0rQihWj-CMDtYvVwrKtX-64c4cAXrlzUtdNg0yTRUE3X_8XdA-yWn6dX_gxseeJO_QMS25f/s400/Whoopie+Pies+015.jpg" /></a>~Good Afternoon! Whoopie PIES that is.. We found an article at work that featured these whoopie pies. They are kind of like cakey oreos, like those new Oreo Cakesters. Anyway, I had to run out and pick up the book and I started with the original Chocolate Whoopie Pie with the Classic Marshmallow Cream filling. There are a ton of recipes in this little book, so I can't wait to try the rest, because they are really fun and easy and I like baking anything CUTE! It made quite a few too. I think I wound up with about 35. It was supposed to make 48, I think I might have made them a bit bigger than they said.. Oh well, I don't think I will hear any complaints about the size, LOL! Anyway, enjoy the rest of the weekend!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-72275898841247822942010-06-26T19:43:00.000-07:002010-06-27T18:03:58.619-07:00What's For Dinner??<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1YvwczE502zBbrUhfm-EjSWSwmfwztZWgQeZFW9urY6GAvBJ-u2m20iBNGvk4uLoIHq1EDLKCiQ1Y0u7GibgkxY3GwrDgO0-k3L8iPCXEkQgj-Fj9-exY_lJtMe5rvZ8NeNeA68WHEatI/s1600/Burger+Pic+005.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487279987909991154" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1YvwczE502zBbrUhfm-EjSWSwmfwztZWgQeZFW9urY6GAvBJ-u2m20iBNGvk4uLoIHq1EDLKCiQ1Y0u7GibgkxY3GwrDgO0-k3L8iPCXEkQgj-Fj9-exY_lJtMe5rvZ8NeNeA68WHEatI/s400/Burger+Pic+005.jpg" /></a>~Good Evening! I had to share this yummy pic with you tonight. My husband just created the most magnificent looking burgers for our dins tonight, don't you think?? We grilled the onions and they made the burger so good and sweet! It just looked too nice not to take a picture of! I always have to have BBQ sauce on my burger, then he made it a double (OMG!) so it was huge.. I shared with Oliver (my yorkie) and he was pretty happy! Anyway, I sure hope you are having a great weekend. Hellooo sunshine! Have a great night.. I just wanted to share a quick post today. It was one of our detectives' last day in our office today for nine months! He is a Lieutenant Colonel with the Air Force and he is going to be deployed to Afghanistan in the next week or so. I decided to make him his favorite flavor of cupcake so here they are. I dressed them up with a little reminder of where he is leaving (for a while anyway)! We wish him the very best and hope he returns to us safely. I wonder if I can ship cupcakes to Afghanistan, LOL! (probably not a good idea!) Have a great day and a sunny weekend..<br /><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-46987065632042636412010-06-05T19:44:00.000-07:002010-06-05T19:57:57.294-07:00Baby Shower~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiD_VQtgbZ1rWYpJxX7aBpofC33TE4sfGVRfiMWcBrCDe_T2ssikStvjBDVHEJ68jURXwJ-9Q8ZGDrrpFIBF2pNfICgZ7fUPZTriad6nTeXM8lSm8Mf2G8hMlsyWqY_Pazan5tREaf8ttg/s1600/Deanna's+Shower+013.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479489073081262418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiD_VQtgbZ1rWYpJxX7aBpofC33TE4sfGVRfiMWcBrCDe_T2ssikStvjBDVHEJ68jURXwJ-9Q8ZGDrrpFIBF2pNfICgZ7fUPZTriad6nTeXM8lSm8Mf2G8hMlsyWqY_Pazan5tREaf8ttg/s400/Deanna's+Shower+013.jpg" /></a>Hi there! Wow, we are finally having such a nice day here today. Welcome sunshine, welcome! It is a bit humid and clouds keep coming in, but no rain, yay!!! We spent the whole afternoon doing much needed yardwork and I love when it is all done.. we are tired, but it always looks so nice and clean (well until it rains again)! Anyway, I was really honored to be asked to help with a baby shower for one of our friends and co-worker at work. She is expecting a baby boy next month! I knew this could only mean one thing, I could make the dessert for the party.. I immediately thought cupcakes!! Her theme is safari, so I found these cute pics to put in some of them and tried to use some of the same colors that she is using for the baby's room. I had fun making these and decorating my cupcake stand for the shower. We all had a great time! She is going to be such a great mom and we are so excited for her and her husband! Can't wait to welcome baby.. Well, time to relax and hang out with my hubby.. have a great weekend.. Take care and thanks so much for looking!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-105265224801138012010-05-31T20:56:00.000-07:002010-05-31T21:12:28.966-07:00Simply Adorned~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwhhA3C5mbWKxxduH5h513TTArq0M7qNhHKdCkX2qScbNeFjNxwK6M8IyULPJH2yh5ILYkd_Bi57VDOxra1xlU6vqxRpcEbvITsa2pbUcRuB2aAR4o8JbNBqgpQwMtnStJYwqGfsQiGSKX/s1600/Course+4+Cake+and+Shower+Pictures+007.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477652468828698338" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwhhA3C5mbWKxxduH5h513TTArq0M7qNhHKdCkX2qScbNeFjNxwK6M8IyULPJH2yh5ILYkd_Bi57VDOxra1xlU6vqxRpcEbvITsa2pbUcRuB2aAR4o8JbNBqgpQwMtnStJYwqGfsQiGSKX/s320/Course+4+Cake+and+Shower+Pictures+007.jpg" /></a>~Good Evening. Hope everyone is enjoying the Memorial Day holiday. I was so impressed by all of the cool events and tributes held today here in Vancouver and around town. We have been busy this weekend tearing down wallpaper in the bedroom. It has only taken 10 years to do! LOL.. let's just say we were working our way to the back of the house. Whoever owned this house before went wallpaper CRAZY and we were left to undo all of those pink and purple flowers from every wall.. ughh! Well, it is down and almost ready for paint this coming weekend, yay!! I had bought the bedding and accessories about two months ago waiting for paint, so I am excited to see it all come together.. okay, back to the post. I meant to post this about three days ago, but I got a new laptop and my husband has been battling the new router. It worked, then didn't, then worked, then didn't. It's now working! Everything is hooked up again, so here it goes. I actually made this necklace and a couple of these cards while we were at the beach a month or so ago (has it really been that long?) and had taken these then. I ended up giving the cards to our mom's for Mother's Day, and the movie, It's Complicated with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. If you haven't seen it, it is hilarious and our mom's loved it when we took them to see it when it was in the theaters. This was my first attempt using the Simply Adorned line from SU! I really loved creating something new with our papers and stamps. SU! has some great stamps to use with these charms. My design is similar to the one pictured in one of the minis, but I will branch out even more on my next attempt. I have a bracelet in the works, so I will let you know how it comes out! I hope you enjoy the rest of your night and have a great week. Baby Shower tomorrow after work!! Funnnnnn!<br /><br /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-5044696393141444072010-05-27T15:53:00.000-07:002010-05-27T16:06:44.435-07:00Garden Party Finale Cake!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeI4aD14a7XvJ08e4OKy90_ZDhS-fqsJ_EmoOGkIhBmwxAz2yW5tat7FDDS2cx1PGuB57mIsXD5HPXVan3qv7yJ6Lh2zk4sNURuiPn0N9YTELmEbEhVOKOA1PxdN6CsErbzJx0_pc7hm2C/s1600/Cake+Pics+Course+4+054.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476089516827144098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeI4aD14a7XvJ08e4OKy90_ZDhS-fqsJ_EmoOGkIhBmwxAz2yW5tat7FDDS2cx1PGuB57mIsXD5HPXVan3qv7yJ6Lh2zk4sNURuiPn0N9YTELmEbEhVOKOA1PxdN6CsErbzJx0_pc7hm2C/s320/Cake+Pics+Course+4+054.jpg" /></a>Good Afternoon! I just wanted to post my final cake picture of our last cake class. It was kind of sad last night to say goodbye to all of the girls we met along the way and say goodbye to our teacher. She was such a sweet lady! I am grateful to have learned all that we did, and hope to keep up with new classes after the summer. Anyway, here is my cake that I like to refer to as my garden party cake! It was so fun to make and I loved making those bumblebees and ladybugs! Click on the picture to view it a bit bigger. I have a new post for tomorrow too! Yay!! Have a great day..<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-44338344765826493192010-05-24T11:37:00.000-07:002010-05-24T12:06:36.077-07:00Where Have I Been??<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD8tq8DzfAtYVsq_V1Yb1mHgGIKlTkImjUAzFAjf1eBvXFk9Bi3QKMiGpwwyf_PoicbH4m3gFhA2w22YGrpNuluRGHusJYLAZx4-b6pSr-04CJ16kkF8qpKuGdkT5fAKBuVTYDSnTcavbD/s1600/Cake+Pics+002.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5474913491642528786" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD8tq8DzfAtYVsq_V1Yb1mHgGIKlTkImjUAzFAjf1eBvXFk9Bi3QKMiGpwwyf_PoicbH4m3gFhA2w22YGrpNuluRGHusJYLAZx4-b6pSr-04CJ16kkF8qpKuGdkT5fAKBuVTYDSnTcavbD/s320/Cake+Pics+002.jpg" /></a> ~My goodness, it's really ME! My friends and family have been telling me that I haven't updated my site in such a long time and I cannot believe it has almost been a YEAR! Where has the time gone? It sure isn't because I haven't been doing lots of projects, because if you know me, that won't ever be the case! I have so many things I need to get posted here, I promise I will very soon! Let's see, I have been helping with wedding stuff for our great friends, baby shower stuff for our friend here at work and mostly, I have been really busy taking cake decorating classes!! I have been doing this for the past four months and this week will be the finale cake! It has been a great experience, but so much of my time has been spent trying recipes, getting the class projects done, learning all of the new techniques and baking and decorating all of those cakes every week!! Those of you who have done any kind of cake decorating, knows how much time it takes to complete your "mini-masterpiece." My sweet mother-in-law told me this weekend that I should post some of my cakes on my blog and although I have been taking pictures along the way, I chose this one because it reminded me of one of my most favorite days ever, my wedding day. My cake did not look much like this, but the color was the same and so were all of the daisies, except I handmade all of these and my cake had real daisies (real seems easier now that I made all of these dang things)! LOL...It kind of looks like a bonnet on this cake board, but you get the idea! I really enjoyed this cake because it did remind me so much of our sweet spring wedding day. I am still working with the fondant, and trying to find a tastier recipe that holds up as well as the fondant I am using, but for now this is it. I have had a great time and hope to keep taking classes in the fall. It is a bright sunny day here, really beautiful with a nice breeze.. my favorite kind of day! My husband and I went for a drive yesterday and along the way I asked him to stop me at a craft store I spotted, I ALWAYS have my eyes out for a new craft place nearby. I actually didn't find much but at the register area, I found a set of five templates, including one for these pinwheels. You can always find the template somewhere on the internet, but I was so thrilled to find these. It gives you the option to make it in three different sizes, these are the large and the small in the pic. Besides the template for the pinwheels were templates for a large pillow box, a bunch of flowers and a chinese take out box and a couple more, all for $2.50, what a bargain!! I thought I would try the pinwheels first since they are so cute!! I was practicing with this left over paper and they actually came out and I love the bright summer colors. I added the brads and the flowers in the middle of each and then I found a little vase for displaying.. I thought hmm, now I need a card to go with them, so here it all is. Oh, the sticks are kabob sticks I bought at Crate and Barrell last summer. Well, enjoy your day.. back to work tomorrow, ugggh!!<br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-8088889971055355112009-06-22T20:29:00.000-07:002009-06-22T20:43:23.177-07:00Birthday Wishes~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjUaRqPY18MdBOnl5BL5yBXj3ikp9uyPy6VcAcWGqFo84bCYv9c3o1WHqKzkxWQu_o_xml5E3_EDw_V3x9LTlGv-Ek4adri7NjinGuyzYlJCQ68dP-eg5UiGBtrbH895xbg44N-OMeAuPK/s1600-h/Birthday+Owl+006.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350363463363033186" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjUaRqPY18MdBOnl5BL5yBXj3ikp9uyPy6VcAcWGqFo84bCYv9c3o1WHqKzkxWQu_o_xml5E3_EDw_V3x9LTlGv-Ek4adri7NjinGuyzYlJCQ68dP-eg5UiGBtrbH895xbg44N-OMeAuPK/s400/Birthday+Owl+006.jpg" border="0" /></a>~Good Evening to you.. Awww, so glad the Monday workday is over, long day it seemed like today, and always so happy to get home when I have a project to post. I have loved this owl since I saw it among the hostess sets way back when. It is from the hand drawn bundle rub-ons that came with the set. It's not too late to get this hostess set! You can stock up on retired sets and accessories and get this one too, it is just adorable and I have hoarded them for forever, so I guess it was finally time to use them. The happy birthday paper in the background is also included with this set. The owl is just the sweetest thing and do you love the sparkly eye? That was a last minute decision after I kept looking at it thinking it needed just one more thing. I paired it with baja breeze textured paper and alternated each layout a bit, actually I goofed on the one on the right by stamping the sentiment crooked, so since I didn't want to waste the paper, I flipped the layout around and it still came out, so I am happy!! I never have enough birthday cards on hand, so a couple more for my card pile! I hope you have a great rest of the week! Have a great night. Oh, and one more thing, catalogs... THEY ARE COMING.. very very soon. If you would like one, please let me know and I will reserve a copy for you.. Thanks so much.<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-69965182699491030942009-06-21T12:42:00.000-07:002009-06-21T12:52:00.446-07:00Dad's Day Rocks!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ37yBv_gLpfMmFFpxR8kqYsIlb8SeCm1qmNkvi3MHO20EDDrxHgERUZlqgTOMZuKFN2RM6aF8aRtw1QuurmFmeCRiFwlIlSlSHsF_Sp2YB9bA_boitTzup5DfETgnGYB8RiAFCIkYuwxp/s1600-h/Dad"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349870970183093346" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ37yBv_gLpfMmFFpxR8kqYsIlb8SeCm1qmNkvi3MHO20EDDrxHgERUZlqgTOMZuKFN2RM6aF8aRtw1QuurmFmeCRiFwlIlSlSHsF_Sp2YB9bA_boitTzup5DfETgnGYB8RiAFCIkYuwxp/s400/Dad's+Day+and+Uncle+021.jpg" border="0" /></a>~Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day.. gosh, I don't know about you, but I seem to have such a hard time trying to make masculine cards. I think it is because I love to add cute stuff to all of my cards and it is hard to keep it under control when making a card for a guy! hahaha, but of course I had to make one for my hubby for dad's day. He loves to play guitar and when I saw this set, I knew it was perfect for him. I paired it with some background paper from the rock star paper pad from DCWV. I wanted to give it a bit of an antiqued look by distressing it a bit and sponging some chocolate chip ink around the edges and to the front. The stars are from the same set. the inside says "You rock!" which is perfect because he does! Happy Father's Day my sweet.. Have a great rest of the day! I have another post for tomorrow, whoo hoo!! See you soon.<br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-86273441895822859742009-06-21T12:37:00.000-07:002009-06-21T12:42:32.957-07:00Brother and Sister~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipbGNjt7h9-sIKoZkCn4F4d2plNIhyphenhyphenoOEwtHB9lpGPKyeS79Xqg7WnmhBGiPKAbudT-prNCQwloGA0PSZIKzN2qc6nDq5ewwpVFk3jMMBmhkvxj298SIrZfNYyZom7fHgLM_QiZMkCS5Rq/s1600-h/Dad"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349868326857302818" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipbGNjt7h9-sIKoZkCn4F4d2plNIhyphenhyphenoOEwtHB9lpGPKyeS79Xqg7WnmhBGiPKAbudT-prNCQwloGA0PSZIKzN2qc6nDq5ewwpVFk3jMMBmhkvxj298SIrZfNYyZom7fHgLM_QiZMkCS5Rq/s400/Dad's+Day+and+Uncle+006.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hi there.. my mom asked me to put this together for her to send to her brother for his upcoming birthday on Monday. My very good friend gave the magazine to me and pointed out these projects and I thought they were beautiful and didn't need to change much at all. She recently graduated with her masters degree on Sunday (go Kate!!) so I wanted to make these for her after both seeing it in the magazine.. First of all, trying to find all of the tools and accessories for this project is never as easy as it describes in the magazine but I managed to find everything. I bought the cricut cartridge called "decor elements" to create the lettering and the beautiful butterflies. I hadn't used my cricut in a while, so it was great to pull that out and now I have been using it bunches since.. I cut a bunch until I got the size I wanted and I already had the background paper and the cardstock.. I love the baja breeze paired with the kiwi kiss. I am going to miss those in colors soooo much, but I know I will love the new ones too! I bought a 12 x 12 frame and then had the frame shop cut a mat for me that I picked to go in the frame. I then just started assembling.. and soon it was complete. The card is the same butterfly with the background paper and layered onto going gray cardstock. I used baja breeze striped ribbon and a kiwi kiss button. I used my scallop punch to make the white scallops to attach to the side of the card. I used a rub on for the sentiment and there you have it.. I thought this would be perfect for her first office! Well, thanks for looking and have a super week! I get to spend the day in my garden, yippppeee! My corn is growing and I am thrilled. It's my first time growing corn so I constantly peek out to see if it looks any bigger, I know corny, huh!! hahahahha... pun fun... Bye for now..<br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623721893748511050.post-50122275649021287202009-06-08T21:05:00.000-07:002009-06-08T21:11:15.897-07:00Dad's Day ~<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGt6WPE-5NDSbN0TotXQhuef9udp993Q3eXxmHnwqKmBgLTrx0YnxzZQ-Q2rvrcw5gYJGg2fbnFswgVyE-TJBVbgKEleqxMSACE4315pDui5q8RWZhpP-oKvhkVAheXh_jMcEQAv9NGug4/s1600-h/Kate"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345175442594968786" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGt6WPE-5NDSbN0TotXQhuef9udp993Q3eXxmHnwqKmBgLTrx0YnxzZQ-Q2rvrcw5gYJGg2fbnFswgVyE-TJBVbgKEleqxMSACE4315pDui5q8RWZhpP-oKvhkVAheXh_jMcEQAv9NGug4/s400/Kate's+Graduation+Day+012.jpg" border="0" /></a>Hello!! I wanted to share a father's day card I made for a workshop a couple of weeks ago.. I love the colors with the pop of the red bird. I also thought this might make a nice sympathy card too. I used SU! Branch Out and silver hodgepodge hardware. The "dad" stamp is non SU! but I liked that size for the hardware. I forgot there is a father in the flexible phrases kit that probably would fit as well. I know I have been a bit MIA lately, but of course I still have been stamping. I am excited since I have two posts tonight. Okay, onto the next one.... be right back...<br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9NAg72cG2WnWMIYhLFWKIDs-7uL-xgU68iu5ocIGOV7487O8b7SCJNQPznCwIZzEKAfvYIk5K65YCQ5JS5AEzxc6kz4D5BbROabSVXs18FJHpBV-joPadWxdhpbWmFYRZrmGKBlgV6we9/s400/nicolesiggy.jpg" /></div>Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09929868318125937951noreply@blogger.com0
